FlexProfessionals is Hiring a Program Manager Near Concord, MA

Mission driven organization providing scholarships to U.S. undergraduates to study abroad in Japan seeks a part-time program manager who is passionate about international education and social impact to support the executive director.

Hours/Schedule: 10 hours per week, increasing to as many as 15 hours per week during peak periods, hybrid with set schedule, 3 hours/day onsite on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1 hours remote Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Onsite hours can be flexible.

Job Type: Contract to perm

Location Requirements: Hybrid in West Concord, MA office

Rate: $30-$33/hour based on experience

Job Description:
Under the direction of the executive director, the program manager will manage the implementation of the scholarship program, lead and manage grant writing and reporting, manage outreach initiatives (social media), handle administrative tasks for the organization and assist the executive director in the nurturing of current and prospective donors.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the scholarship program, including the application process, the forming and leading of the selection team, the day-to-day operation of the program, communication with scholars, event planning, mentorship of students, post-program support, and nurturing of alumni
  • Track, collect and organize all admission paperwork to ensure effective program operations
  • Lead and manage grant writing and reporting cycle
  • Assist the Executive Director in the nurturing of current and prospective donors, including CRM/database management and annual fundraising campaign
  • Develop and execute, with our team, a communication strategy, including monthly email newsletters, social media postings, and quarterly interaction with donors
  • Prepare material for Board meetings

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Masters preferred.
  • Exceptional strong writing and clear communication skills.
  • Exceptionally strong organizational skills; Project Management Certification is preferred
  • Grant writing expertise and knowledge of philanthropic landscape required
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in database management and fundraising software
  • Strategic thinking for developing communication strategies
  • Competence in social media and digital marketing;Mailchimp, Facebook, LinkedIn
  • Broad world view and/or interest in global affairs and cultures or experience working/living in another culture
  • Experience in Japan or proficiency in Japanese is a plus
